I have been reenacting the Thirteenth century since 1982. Firstly in "The Knights of Clifford" and then when part of that group formed "Chivalry In Action", I went with them. Both these groups covered the later Welsh Wars of Edward I.
In the early 1990s, "Chivalry In Action" shifted its emphasis from Edward I's Welsh Wars to Simon De Montfort's rebellion against King Henry and became "Circa 1265". I left this group in 2003 to pursue other historical periods but never lost my interest in the Thirteenth century. Recently I have rejoined them.

One of the topics that this blog will cover is my efforts to slowly replace and upgrade my reenactment gear as it was good for 20 years ago but now needs a rethink and replacement.
Other items will range from recipes to music and historical sites to reenactment events and book reviews.
